Support Fundraising Events

When you fund raise with us, you are directly helping a cancer patient in Connecticut who is struggling financially.  Because of you, that person will be able to rest easy, knowing that they can focus on their health, not worry about their bills.

No matter what you like to do, we have a fundraiser for you!

Sponsor a Table at the Annual Celebrity Dinner & Memorabilia Auction

Our Annual Celebrity Dinner & Sports Memorabilia Auction features your favorite baseball celebrities in an engaging program, led by Michael Kay of ESPN Radio.  Held at Mohegan Sun every year, this high-end gala brings together more than 800 of Connecticut’s top business leader, professionals, and philanthropists for a wonderful evening with cocktails, dinner, a live and silent auction, and, of course, sports celebrities!  If you are a sports fan who wants to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients, this is a can’t miss event!

Sign Up for the Cycle Against Cancer

Love spinning? Hate cancer?  Us, too!  The Cycle Against Cancer is a four hour spin-a-thon fundraiser that is quickly expanding to gyms all over the state, with events throughout March in Old Saybrook, Niantic, North Haven, Brookfield, Durham, and West Hartford.  Registration is free, but we ask everyone to fund raise and EVERY penny you raise goes to help CT cancer patients pay their bills.  Come out for a great workout and a great cause!  For more information go to www.cycleagainstcancer.org

Sign Up for the M.E.L.T.-a-thon Against Cancer

Spinning not your thing?  That’s O.K., because you can sign up to participate in the M.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer, which is a fun, fat-blasting obstacle course at Riverfront Park in Glastonbury.  Designed and led by nationally-known personal trainer Joe Carabase, the M.e.l.t.-a-thon Against Cancer will have you flipping monster truck tires, hauling sand bags, and running through the park like Rocky Balboa. (Seriously. We play “Eye of the Tiger” when you run by.)  Just like the Cycle Against Cancer, we ask everyone to fundraise for CT cancer patients – every dollar you raise makes a difference, so sign up today. Sign Up for the Fishing Against Cancer Tournament

If your idea of exercise involves sitting on a boat and drinking beer all day, then the Fishing Against Cancer Tournament is the fundraiser for you!  Each year, some of CT’s top anglers come together to compete to see who can catch the longest striper, bluefish, fluke, and seabass, while also raising money for CT cancer patients and their families.  We finish the tournament with a dinner and an awards ceremony – fun for the whole family! Support No Shave CT

Every November police departments across Connecticut help CCF by fundraising through No Shave CT.  For 30 days (or more) , officers put away their razors and letting their beards grow in – all to raise money for CT cancer patients.  With over 60 police departments participating each year, you can either make a donation to a police department near you or support the event in general.  If your local police department isn’t signed up, let them know about No Shave CT and how it will make a difference for cancer patients across Connecticut. Visit www.NoShaveCT.org

Host Your Own Fundraiser

The Connecticut Cancer Foundation is proud to have the support of so many wonderful local families, business, and organizations.   Schools, Rotary Clubs, religious groups, and other civic, social, and charitable organizations donate their time and resources to help Connecticut cancer patients and their families by hosting their own fundraiser.

Some commonly held fundraisers include dress-down days, sports events, concerts, dinner/dances and so much more.  For more information on how you can help, please contact Jane Ellis at janeellis@ctcancerfoundation.org.
