Cycle Against Cancer – Tribe, West Hartford

On October 22, 2016, the ultra-popular spin studio in the heart of West Hartford Center, Tribe, hosted the Cycle Against Cancer to support cancer patients and their families in Connecticut. If you haven’t been to Tribe yet, it’s time to check it out! With 37 spin bikes and amazing instructors, every class leaves you exhilarated and feeling fit. On October 22, over 65 spinners joined forces to raise over $18,000 for cancer patients in Connecticut, especially Michael, a brave toddler fighting brain cancer. As the Ambassador for the Cycle Against Cancer, Michael and his mother were eligible for a much larger grant that CSF can typically provide. We were lucky to have Michael join us, too – everyone was excited to meet our cute little warrior! At the start of the event, Michael’s mom, Ariel, gave an emotional welcome and thank you to the spinners. Then Tribe manager and spin instructor extraordinaire Janelle Pentlicki took over, leading the spinners in a heart-pumping, fun workout!

Thank you to everyone who participated or supported this event – you truly are making a difference in the lives of cancer patients in Connecticut. Last year, we provided almost $450,000 in financial assistance, but we couldn’t do it without our spinners, sponsors, and donors, so THANK YOU!
