29th Annual Celebrity Dinner

The 29th Annual Celebrity Dinner and Memorabilia Auction lived up to the expectations where more than 700 guests attended the much anticipated annual event to support the CSF mission: to financially assist Connecticut cancer patients and their families and fund cancer research.

Master of Ceremonies, Mike Francesa from WFAN brought his alluring sports talk to the Sports Program where he brought back unforgettable baseball memories from Hall of Famer Dave Winfield, former NYY Bernie Williams, current NYY second baseman Starlin Castro, former NYYs John Wetteland and Roy White.   We were entertained by Braiden Sunshine from “2015 The Voice” and listened to families’ stories of courage, grace and humor in the face of difficulty, and love and support amidst struggle. A tribute to honor Yogi Berra, a long-time CSF supporter, was given by John Ellis and Dave Winfield and to memorialize the occasion, a painting by renowned New Orleans’s artist Frenchy was presented to the Berra Family to be placed in the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center.

As always, the venue was spectacular with incredible foods, desserts and beverages provided by Mohegan Sun.

With greatest appreciation to our generous sponsors, sports stars, volunteers and all those supporting the 2016 Celebrity Dinner to make it a success!

See you next year on Friday, February 5, 2017!
